El Chavo del 8 en vivo canal de mexico live.El Chavo del 8 en vivo Ocho es una serie cómica mexicana de televisión, creada por Roberto Gómez Bolaños ("Chespirito"), producida originalmente por Televisión Independiente de México de 1970 a 1972 y que posteriormente se produjo entre los años 1973 a 1980 por Televisión Vía Satélite de México. Fue transmitida en los mismos años en gran parte de Latinoamérica y diferentes países de Europa y Asia. Según Chespirito, el programa está basado en una historia real de un niño que le había lustrado los zapatos, y que al darle la propina al niño éste había zapateado como el Chavo.1

El programa comenzó como sketch del antiguo programa Chespirito en 1971, después de que el protagonista del programa, "El Chavo" (término mexicano para niño o jovencito), apareció junto con otro personaje, "La Chilindrina" en un sketch. Para 1973 el sketch se convirtió en serie semanal, la cual duró hasta 1980. Desde ese año y hasta 1992 hubo segmentos del programa en la nueva serie Chespirito y desde 2006 está emitiéndose la serie animada.2

En un principio, el programa televisivo se dirigía a un público maduro, pero resultó extremadamente exitoso con los niños; entonces se decidió redirigir el programa a ellos. El Chavo del Ocho se llamó así porque el programa se transmitía en el Canal 8 de México (XHTIM de Televisión Independiente de México, del grupo ALFA de Monterrey, México) que se fusionaría con Telesistema Mexicano en 1972 para formar Televisa y ser transmitido por el Canal 2; tiempo después, el canal 8 se mudó al canal 9 (hoy Galavisión) de México por cambios en las asignaciones del espectro radioeléctrico. Finalmente, para evitar este malentendido del nombre "del ocho", y su referencia a la antigua compañía televisora (canal 8), se decidió que el chavo viviría en el departamento número 8. Generalmente se cree que el personaje vive en el barril, sin embargo existe al menos un capítulo en donde el Chavo menciona que vive en el departamento ocho cual era solo un cuarto lleno de periodico.

En el libro "El diario de el Chavo del Ocho" escrito por Roberto Gómez Bolaños se deja bien claro el hecho de que el personaje vive en un departamento. Sin embargo seguramente Bolaños ha querido crear cierta discordia sobre este punto al mostrar al Chavo en el barril bien entrada la noche o durante la madrugada.
